From Concept, To Screen, To Collectible by Steve Sansweet

 I got this book upon it's original release in 1992. I devoured it. I had a graveyard shift job and not much happened, so I was able to just sit and read this wonderful book.

I love collecting Star Wars and Steve Sansweet knows what a collector wants to know.

 Wow! 20th! How time flies.

Micro Machines Star Wars Droids

 Here is an item I got in 1995. I think this is still during the dark times of collecting because when the new figures came out there would have been no way that I would have gotten this thing. Maybe it was given to me. I don't know. It's all a blur. It's basically all of the action figures done in a very small size. They kind of look cool but ultimately they have no use because I don't have any vehicles or playsets to their scale. 

The back side of the box is neat because it has descriptions of all of the droids and their back story. The B'Omarr Monk is really a bizarre but fascinating one.

Star Wars Dark Empire Comic Book #1

I remember reading this many years ago. I don't remember anything about this story though. Obviously it left no impression on me. LOL! The cover art is pretty good although they didn't the likeness of Leia very well.

Tales of the Jedi: Dark Lords of the Sith Comic Book

 More archiving of my collection. Here is a comic book I never read. I just got it, kept it in the bag, and put it away. Also, I never got the other issues. Why? Dunno.

Star Wars Lightsaber Dueling Pack

 I got this game way back in the late 80's during the dark times of collecting. It looked interesting, and I wanted to play. I have no idea if this is any good. I couldn't find anyone interested in playing. Sadness. That was back then. Maybe I should try again with the friends I have now.

Star Wars Monopoly Limited Collector's Edition

I really don't like Monopoly. There is nothing fun about running around a board trying to buy up property and pay bills and blah, blah, blah. BORING!!! The best name for this game is Monotony! LOL!!! The thing is when I saw this Star Wars version and that it said limited edition, I totally wanted to get it. Only because it is Star Wars. It's still sealed because I have absolutely no desire to play this. 

 I may even sell it some day only because I don't care to have it displayed with my collection. Who knows? Maybe.

The Story of Darth Vader Playing Cards

 This set was available at the 99 cents stores. I don't care for these types of playing cards since the games don't really interest me, but this set is so cool. The case that the cards are stored in is the head of Darth Vader!! Totally awesome!

 Also cool, is that the cards tell the story of Darth Vader from child to Padawan to Sith Lord. Amazing!

Micro Machines Space: The Empire Strikes Back Collection #2

 Yep! Another one of those "dark times" collectibles that I got. The thing is I was not really into these things. It's just that, I was really desperate to collect Star Wars stuff in the early 90's. 

 These stay in my collection because I don't like to throw out anything that I have collected that is related to Star Wars. I must be a hoarder in that sense.

 The thing is I'm collecting the Hot Wheels vehicles and they are not much different than these. The Micro Machines are a bit smaller though.

Hot Wheels Starships: Resistance Bomber

These Hot Wheels collections are great. I love collecting them. I like the design of this Resistance Bomber because it is very different and not something that would be seen on Earth. It's very other worldly and those are the best ships in the Star Wars universe. 

 Adding more to my collection is a lot of fun.

Hot Wheels Starships: Imperial Shuttle

Love the Imperial Shuttle. It's a very cool designed ship. I really like how the wings are very large and move up for landing and move down for flight. 

 This series of Hot Wheels Starships is very cool and I enjoy collecting them.

Star Wars Playing Cards

 These have great photos related to the Star Wars movies. I love the metal box. The picture used for the box is fantastic.

 There are two decks with a focus of battles and weapons. The battles deck has photos of different characters fighting each other. The weapons deck focuses on, well, weapons.

Good stuff and at a very nice price....$1. 

Darth Vader Doll

Yeah, this was given to me. Not something I would purchase for myself. It's a novelty.

Return of the Jedi Chromart

 More stuff to collect during the "dark times" in Star Wars collecting. It's very nice looking and I'm sure it would be more attractive in a frame. It's basically just a ROTJ image we've seen before only now it's shiny. Cool.

The Star Wars Trilogy Novelization

 The only thing that sets this apart from all the other novelizations is that this one is printed with "The First Ten Years" emblem on it. I remember that being a big deal in 1987. Lots of things made with that emblem. There was also a convention celebrating the first ten years. Just a blast!
