Vintage Stormtrooper Figure

This is my original Stormtrooper figure from childhood. It is in very good condition. Wow! It may be because I got it when ROTJ came out and was a bit older so I took better care of my collection.
Of course, I still messed up the back. Ugh!
I bought this figure from a friend in the early 2010s. It looks very good also.
The funny thing is my friend also marked the back of the card! What's up with that??
Here they are side by side. Very nice!
Throughout the years I bought more Stormtroopers for army building. It was pretty easy to get them as opposed to getting something like the Death Squad Commander. Some of them were quite yellowed, but I used peroxide and now they look much better.

Vintage Jawa Figure

Another figure from my original collection. This Jawa figure is so small! It looks good with the cloth cloak and the really cool weapon. This card does not look too bad.
Except for the fact that I marked up the back. Although at least I mostly put small x's next to the figure.
I kept getting more Jawas as part of that "army building" idea. It's a good way to populate the Land of the Jawas and the Droid Factory playsets.

Vintage Star Destroyer Commader

My original vintage figure! Of course the original name of this figure is the Death Squad Commander. Unfortunately, by the time I got this, the name had been changed. Darn! The cardback looks okay, and even has the punch. Cool!
Another instance of me marking the back of the card. SO lame!
I was able to get another SDC figure for army building. These figure are really difficult to get at a low price. I am sure it is mostly because of the army building aspect.

Vintage Ben (Obi-Wan) Kenobi Figure

Here is my figure from childhood. Yeah! I was even able to keep the tip on the lightsaber. Very cool!!
I just wish I wan't such a dork and marked all over the cardback. So annoying!!
I got two more Ben's through the years. Obviously the others do not have capes. I am hoping to find matching vinyl color to make reproduction capes. It's pretty difficult to find that color. Argh! Also, the Ben on the right still has a lightsaber. That's a plus!
I apparently tried to fix a tear in the cape but got other stuff on the glue. Such a kid thing to do!

Vintage Sandpeople Figure

This is my original Sandpeople figure from my childhood. It's in pretty good condition considering I played with my figures.
Of course I ruined this card also! Grrrr!
I collected more figures throughout the years that included other Sandpeople. Unfortunately they do not have the capes. If I can find matching vinyl, I could make replacement capes. Still looking.

Vintage Luke Skywalker Figure

This is my original Luke figure from my childhood. It's sad that I have no memory of getting this figure. Did someone just give it to me? Did I get it as a birthday gift? Did I buy it myself??? I don't KNOW! I don't even have the cardback. Why??? This mystery will never be solved. Sigh.
I collected a few more Lukes through the years. The two middle figures were badly yellowed so I whitened them with peroxide. It did a great job, but unfortunately it discolored the skin of the third Luke. Sadness:-(
The funny thing is the Luke at the far right is vintage but the Lightsaber is the one from the 90's shown below.
I  have another Luke that was made in 1995. It was cast from the original figure. Does that mean this is a duplicate or a reproduction? There are collectors who totally hate repro. Does that include this figure even though it is an official release from Hasbro??? I'm having a hard time taking it out of the package. Argh!

Vintage Darth Vader Figure

My original Darth Vader figure from 1977 is in very good condition. It even has the tip on the light saber. The cardback did not fare so well. It was in such bad condition that I used marker to fix it as much as I could.
I also did the lame thing of crossing out the figures I got. Since I don't have another cardback that is from the Star Wars period of the collection, this upsets me even more. Grrrr!!!
I got some more Vaders through the years. The Vader in the middle did not have a cape so I reproduced one. It looks pretty good. The inside is a bit shinier than the original but that's okay. Unfortunately the Vader on the far right has a ripped cape. I don't know how to repair that. Sadness!
I have another Darth Vader cardback but have no recollection as to where I got it. This card is messed up also. The punch tab is torn off and the POP is gone and torn. Of course I marked the back also! Ugh!

I  have another Vader that was made in 1995. It was cast from the original figure. Does that mean this is a duplicate or a reproduction? There are collectors who totally hate repro. Does that include this figure even though it is an official release from Hasbro??? It's still in the package because they all look good together.

Vintage Chewbacca Figure

My original Chewie from the 70's! Yeah! It still looks really good. The only problem is the color of the nose is gone. Oh well. For some reason I do not have the cardback. Wish I knew why! Such a drag!
Through the years, I purchased a few more Chewbacca figures. They look pretty good too.

I have another Chewbacca that was made in 1995. It was cast from the original figure. Does that mean this is a duplicate or a reproduction? There are collectors who totally hate repro. Does that include this figure even though it is an official release from Hasbro???  Anyway, I haven't decided to open the package. I like how it all looks together.

Vintage Han Solo Figure

This is my original figure from the 80's. For some reason I waited until Return of the Jedi to get this figure. Crazy!!!
Of course I ruined the back by marking it. Why oh why was I so dumb???
Through the years I decided to add more Han figures to my collection. The small head and the big head Han are so different. I prefer the small head Han because it seems to be a bit more proportional to the body. The big head Han looks too big and is very unattractive. LOL!

I have another Han figure that was made in 1995. It was cast from the original figure. Does that mean this is a duplicate or a reproduction? There are collectors who totally hate repro. Does that include this figure even though it is an official release from Hasbro???  I need to ask one of those people. LOL!

Vintage R2-D2 (With Sensorscope) Figure

The R2 in my original collection since the 80's is on the left. The other two figures I got sometime in the mid 2010's. I was just going crazy collecting more figures.

The stickers look really good and the chrome is amazingly still shiny and all there. Yay!

Vintage C-3PO (With Removable Limbs) Figure

This C-3PO figure is pretty cool because the limbs can be removed!! Yeah! A definite reason to get another 3PO.
The bag is just plastic but it worked at keeping 3PO in and on the back of Chewbacca.
Another card I ruined by marking it all up. Argh!!!

Vintage R2-D2 Figure

As can be seen in the picture, I got my R2 figure during the release of The Empire Strikes Back. Why it took so long to get R2 evades my memories.
I really played the heck out of this figure. Look at the wear on the sticker.

Ugh! I am so upset with myself that I marked up the cardbacks. So annoying!!!
I purchased more R2's though out the years. The middle R2 has a replica sticker that I got for free. While, the print on the sticker is a bit off, it looks much better than the original which was barely there.
