The Power of the Force 2 Gunner Station Millennium Falcon with Luke Skywalker

The Gunner Station is something I got fairly recently. I found it at Book Off. It was a low price so I decided to get it based on that. Not because I had any nostalgia for the Gunner Station. I do remember seeing it in stores but passing it because I decided Hasbro was milking the Star Wars teat for all they can. Also, back in the day I didn't have a lot of money, so I had to be very selective. I missed out on a lot of cool Star Wars collectibles back then.
Now that I am rolling in the dough baby, I can buy all the Star Wars I want!!! Yeah!!!!
Just kidding. I am doing well financially, so my Star Wars purchases can be more frequent and I can go back and get things like this Gunner Station. Was is a good purchase? Eh! It's alright. The figure is definitely a better sculpt than the first from Hasbro. The Gunner Station shoots torpedos, so that is pretty cool! Especially if you are a kid and want to play with your toy for hours, and hours!
But, I am not a child and do not wish to play with this for hours on end! I want to put this on display and have it look cool with my other Star Wars collections, have it blend in as part of the action, or environment.

So, how did I do? Does it blend in?

The Power of the Force 2 Electronic Power F/X R2-D2

I've had this little droid in my collection since 1996. I kept it in the bubble for years! Recently I have decided to just open all of my figures. Rip them away from the card! Out of the bubble! Out! I say!!!
It has been very satisfying! I'm not a child who want's to play with my toys but I really want to be able to experience them. How they feel, smell, function, and in this case sound. Would the Electronic Power F/X R2-D2 still work after all these years? The answer is...yes!!! Amazingly enough the batteries are still charged! Quality control indeed! The sound of R2 is very primitive compared to what we get these days, but I'm still impressed that it makes sound. It lights up too! Awesome!!!

There's this wand with a magnet at the tip. It's a way to move R2 on the stage. Ooo! R2 moves like magic! Ahhh! Not really! This is the part of the toy that does not function very well. LOL!!! The wand keeps detaching from R2. Lame!
R2-D2 looks great on display!
