Hyperdrive BB-8

This item was really expensive when it came out in stores. If I remember correctly it cost about $50!
I was able to get this for a whopping $5!!! Can you believe it??? At Ross!! Yeah! Great price!
I was really excited about this. The BB-8 part looks great! Pretty authentic to the droid in the movie.
Controlling the droid is not that easy though. For most RC toys they are cars and the front and the back is easy to know. Push forward and the card goes forward and push back the car goes backwards.
THIS on the other hand does not do that. The BB-8 is a ball so trying to figure out where the front is can be quite difficult.
A lot of the time when I thought it would go forward BB-8 went backwards. Quite frustrating!!!
It makes the cute BB-8 noises and will respond to your voice and that is really cool. The control on the other hand is not that cool. Makes sense that this eventually ended up costing $5. LOL!!!!

The Power of the Force 2 A-Wing Fighter

I was able to get this at Book Off for only $20!!!! I was shocked because most of the time something like this is way more costly. At other Book Off stores this probably would have sold for $50. Not at the one I went to. Yay for me!!!

This model is exactly like the one made in the 80s. The major difference being the paint job. A lot more paint detail on this, whereas the 80s version did not.
I found that the canopy would not stay open. Also, this one does not have sound effects. It still has the battery compartment though. Rather lazy on Hasbro's part.

It is very cool that an A-Wing pilot figure is included.

Return of the Jedi: Jabba's Sail Barge R2-D2 Figure

This figure came out in 2003 and I completely ignored it. At that time I was only interested in collecting figures of different characters that had not been made before. I was not interested in collecting variations on the same figure again and again.

Well, that all changed when I backed the Barge! After that, I had to get as many figures related to the barge as possible. The R2-D2 as Jabba's bartender was definitely one of them. I had to go on ebay of course because how else would I be able to get it?? Anyway, I was able to buy it at a reasonable price before the sellers began jacking up the price to take advantage of all the Barge backers.

It is a pretty cool figure with the nifty bar attachment. I know a better looking one exists but I didn't want to pay the high cost for that. This one is good enough.  Now R2 has a home on Jabba's Barge serving beverages!

The Power of the Force Luke Skywalker (Imperial Stormtrooper Outfit) Figure

So the story goes that Kenner started loosing money on the Star Wars collections. They start the new Power of the Force line to get people interested in collecting again. Unfortunately that did not work and they stopped making Star Wars toys after this.
Fortunately for us collectors Kenner managed to finally make a Luke in Stormtrooper outfit!! It's a really good looking figure. Lukes body is very similar to the original Stormtrooper design, even though he has a wider stance. Luke's head does not turn, which is very odd for Kenner to do. The helmet goes on very well but it has to be turned a bit or Luke's nose gets scratched.
Unfortunately, I couldn't get Luke to hold the blaster well. It kept falling. Argh!!!  Still a very nice figure, and one we wanted and needed even during the original run of the Star Wars figures.
The one really cool aspect of this line is the inclusion of the metal coin. Looks greta on display next to the figure.
It would have been awesome if Kenner had made the Han Solo figure in stormtrooper outfit also. Oh well.
