The Rebel Transport came out in 1982. It holds up to 24 figures. It's basically a glorified carrying case.
Figures can be placed in the front to 'pilot' the transport.
A rotating laser cannon holds 1 figure and can be removed to be played with alone.
The tray can be removed for added game play.
It includes a 'secret' escape hatch. I suppose if the transport got boarded by the imperials then the escape hatch would be quite handy.
This thing even included backpacks and gas masks! So cool!! Interesting enough, these things were also available in a mail away offer.
