Kenner's toy version of the intergalactic gangster was released in 1983. This "Action Playset" has been in my collection since then. Kenner included a "slave chain" on the front of the toy's throne. Also included is Salacious Crumb, Jabba's irrepressible space monkey pet. Also included with the toy is a pipe thingamajig, which could be fitted into a stand positioned off the Hutt's shoulder. It vaguely resembles some type of drug smoking device. LOL!!! When the head of Jabba is moved, his large tail swishes slowly from side to side.
The platform "prison" holds up to seven action figures, and has doors that open and close with a turn of the knob.
Decades after it was first produced, factory-bagged examples of both the pipe and the Salacious Crumb figure remain readily available on the secondary market. I got these at Entertainment Earth in 2018!!!
